Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised youngster Eze after his impressive display in the Gunners’ emphatic 4-0 victory over Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup fourth-round clash.

The Premier League side delivered a dominant performance to comfortably book their place in the next stage of the competition, with several fringe and young players making the most of their opportunities. Speaking after the match, Arteta highlighted the importance of confidence and continuity for creative players like Eze, who has been enjoying increased involvement in the first team.

“Eze is already playing a big role. He’s played a lot of games for us and he will continue to,” Arteta said, as quoted by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. “Those players need those moments and especially when we talk about the creative players, they need to feel that they are producing those moments.”

The win over Wigan also marked another step forward for Arsenal in the FA Cup, a competition the club has historically dominated. The Gunners looked sharp and composed throughout the contest, controlling possession and creating multiple scoring opportunities while keeping things tight at the back.
