The over was pure carnage as Gurbaz picked up length deliveries and dispatched them effortlessly over the ropes and to the fence.

At the end of the 14th over, Gurbaz stood unbeaten on 88 off just 44 balls, striking eight fours and five sixes, while his partner Ibrahim Zadran remained solid at 54 off 40 deliveries. Their partnership for the opening wicket had surged to 151 runs off 84 balls, putting Afghanistan in a commanding position.
