England Men have announced their playing XI for the fourth Ashes Test against Australia, scheduled to begin on Boxing Day at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The visitors have made two changes to the side that featured in the third Test at Adelaide. Fast bowler Jofra Archer has been ruled out for the remainder of the tour after sustaining a left side strain, while Ollie Pope has been dropped from the playing XI.

Warwickshire batter Jacob Bethell has been drafted into the side and is set to bat at number three, marking a significant responsibility in the middle order. Meanwhile, Surrey seamer Gus Atkinson returns to the XI after missing the third Test.

England will continue to be led by Ben Stokes, with the team looking to stay alive in the Ashes series at the iconic MCG venue.
