While the 49-year-old Member of Parliament from Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur was in attendance, it was a young fan who captured his attention.

In the match, New Zealand set a target of 273 runs, led by Daryl Mitchell’s impressive 130 and Rachin Ravindra’s solid 75. India accepted the challenge and successfully chased down the target in 48 overs, with Virat Kohli playing a brilliant innings, scoring 95.
With this victory, India maintained their unbeaten streak in the tournament, securing five wins out of five matches. They currently top the table with 10 points. New Zealand stands in the second position with eight points. India’s next encounter will be against defending champions England in Lucknow on October 29.
