On Monday, Chris Gayle’s half-century lead West Indies to a series-clinching victory against Australia in the third fixture of their five-match T20I series at Daren Sammy Stadium in St Lucia.
After the tourists struggled with the bat once again, Gayle pursued a modest target of 142 and re-catched his most destructive form by slashing seven six and four fours scoring 67 runs off 38 balls, and took the unbeatable lead of 3-0 for his team.

The 41-year-old Chris Gayle could still be a factor in the Caribbean defense of the title of the T20 World Cup in 3 months, he also sent out an ominous warning to everyone. The pyrotechnics from Gayle followed a further efficient West Indian performance, as wrist-spinner Hayden Walsh once more troubled Australians by putting two wickets for 18 runs figures, limiting the visitor to 141 for six.

All-rounder Moises Henriques was the top scorer in the Australian team with 33 runs. Only two sixes were struck in Australia’s innings and not came out by Henriques bat, the first coming off the final delivery of the 16th over. Riley Meredith grabs three wickets for Aussie but was very expensive.

Chris Gayle got the man of the match award for his outstanding batting performance.
