The BCCI selection committee has announced the India A squad for the upcoming three-match unofficial ODI series against South Africa A, and senior batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are not part of the squad. The development confirms earlier reports suggesting the selectors were unlikely to include the experienced duo for this assignment.

Tilak Varma will lead the India A side, with Ruturaj Gaikwad as vice-captain. The matches are scheduled to be played in Rajkot on November 13, 16 and 19.

The squad includes young and emerging players, with Ishan Kishan, Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma and Harshit Rana among those selected. Prasidh Krishna, who missed out on the Test squad after playing against the West Indies earlier this year, returns to the India A setup for this one-day series.

Kohli and Rohit continue to remain out of the India A and senior ODI plans for this series as India focuses on testing younger players and building depth across formats.
