A 14-man team has been selected by the USA Cricket National Selection Panel to play for Team USA in the tournament’s penultimate ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series. The United States will compete in the forthcoming tri-series against the hosts, Papua New Guinea, and Namibia from September 11 to September 21.

From the recent successful tour of Scotland, which saw the USA move into one of the three automatic qualification spots, the team has undergone two changes. With the county season coming to an end and Hampshire all-rounder Ian Holland unable to play owing to county cricket obligations, Kyle Phillip, a fast bowler who has played in two One Day Internationals for the USA and taken three wickets, will take his place.

Rahul Jariwala, the top run scorer at the Men’s National Championships 2021, who is 18 years old, also rejoins the team after skipping the tour of Scotland. Rahul replaces Sushant Modani, who is unable to travel to Papua New Guinea because of visa complications.

USA Squad: Monank Patel (Captain), Aaron Jones (Vice-Captain), Cameron Stevenson, Gajanand Singh, Jaskaran Malhotra, Jasdeep Singh, Kyle Phillip, Nisarg Patel, Nosthush Kenjige, Rahul Jariwala, Saurabh Netravalkar, Saiteja Mukkamalla, Steven Taylor, Yasir Mohammed
