Ben Stokes has been left out of England squad for the T20I World Cup 2021. Pacer Tymal mills called up to the squad to increase the pace bowling options.

The English all-rounder Ben Stokes has not been selected in the 15-man squad of England for the T20I World Cup 2021. The T20I World Cup matches will be played in UAE, starting from 17 October and ending on 14 November. The England Cricket Board has announced their squad for the tournament. Some of the old faces and very few new faces for England. The biggest question in the English fans’ minds was whether in-form all-rounder Ben Stokes will be selected in the squad or not. But the England team answered this question on Thursday by posting out their squad and the answer is no.

Ben Stokes is on a break from cricket for a while now, to deal with his mental health. He also sustained a finger injury in April this year. Recovering from that, Stokes decided to take a break from cricket. However, the fans expected that their in-form all-rounder Ben Stokes will come back from his break and will join the squad for the T20I World Cup.

“Durham’s Ben Stokes was not available for selection and continues to take an indefinite break from all cricket to prioritise his mental wellbeing,” England Cricket Board said in their official statement.

However, wicket-keeper Sam Billings and pace bowler Tymal Mills were called up to the squad for the T20I World Cup 2021. The regular T20I captain of the England cricket team, Eoin Morgan will lead from the front.
