God of Cricket or Master Blaster are the adjectives by which the greatest Indian right-handed batsman of all time is widely known. Being an inspiration to aspiring cricketers, Sachin’s international career began at the age of just 16 against Pakistan in Karachi in November 1989 and ended against West Indies at home ground Wankhede in Mumbai in November 2013. In his 24 years of his magnificent career he created many world records such as most runs and tons in both Test and ODI cricket.

1. Sachin Tendulkar scored 34,357 runs in international cricket. He is one and only batsman to score over 30,000 runs in international cricket.
2. Sachin Tendulkar scored 673 runs in ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 in South Africa the most runs by any batsman in a single edition of ICC Cricket World Cup. Unfortunately, India could not beat Australia in final match of this World Cup.
3. Sachin Tendulkar smashed 9 hundred in ODIs in 1998 – the most hundreds by a batsman in ODIs in a calendar year. This record is unbeaten over 22 years.
4. Sachin Tendulkar scored 1894 ODI runs in the year of 1998, the most ODI runs by any batsman in a calendar year.
5. Sachin Tendulkar was the first batsman to score double hundred in men’s ODI cricket. He scored 200 not out runs in 147 deliveries against South Africa in Gwalior ODI in 2010.
6. Sachin Tendulkar smashed 9 ODI hundreds against Australia – the most ODI hundred by a batsman against a single opponent.
7. Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly share the record of most hundred runs opening partnerships in ODI cricket. They crossed 100 runs mark 21 times in this format.
8. Sachin Tendulkar scored 28 nineties in international cricket the most by any batsman in the world. 18 of them came in ODI and 10 in Test cricket.
9. Sachin Tendulkar has scored most fifties in Test (68) and in ODI (96) cricket.
10. Number of Man of the Match awards Sachin Tendulkar received in ODI cricket – the most by any player and he also received 15 Man of the Series awards which is also a record.
11. Sachin Tendulkar scored 100 centuries in international cricket by which he became the only batsman to achieve this feat. He scored 51 centuries in Tests and 49 in ODIs which are also the most by any batsman in both formats.
12. Sachin Tendulkar is the only player to play 200 matches in Test cricket and his 15,921 runs in this format are also the most by any batsman.
13. Sachin Tendulkar also holds the record of most ODI appearances and his 18,426 runs are also the most by any batsman in this format.
