The Mumbai based Indian Premier League (IPL) Cricket team celebrated the 11 years of the Hitman in Blue and Gold with an old tweet ahead of that season in the year 2011 when he was bought.

Rohit Sharma played with the Deccan Chargers as his first IPL team that is now defunct and also won the trophy in the 2009 season with season. The player was then signed for US$2 million by the Mumbai Indians.
The veteran player remembered his journey at the franchise by sharing some of the moments he spent at Mumbai Indians through his Instagram story. The Mumbai based franchise then also shared a picture of their legendary player in which he was with the IPL trophy in his hand as well as a picture of the IPL auction tweet by them that belonged from January 8, 2011.
