NZ vs SA 2021 – After defeating India, South Africa toured New Zealand for the Test series. South Africa, who came with a win, was expected to do better cricket, but on the very first day of the Test series, South Africa kneeled.

Henry, who was playing cricket after a long gap, dealt South Africa in two sessions due to the absence of Trent Boult.
”Great to do it in front of my home fans, friends and family,” Henry said at the innings break as per sparknzsport.
Henry further added, “It’s not always going to go in your favour when you play the odd game here and there.When you woke up and saw the overheads here at Hagley, you’d hope you’re bowling first.” Henry and his bowling team mates put South Africa to the sword in the opening session after Tom Latham won the toss and elected to field.

Zubair Hamza contributed the most for South Africa with 25 runs. At one point South Africa’s score was 2 wickets for 36 runs but the Markam wicket started the downfall of South Africa. Matt Henry took 7 wickets for 23 runs including 7 maiden overs in a spell of 15 overs.
In reply, New Zealand have scored 44 runs for the loss of 2 wickets and the pair of Conway and Nicholls are intact.
