In a grand gesture to celebrate Virat Kohli’s 36th birthday on November 5, the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has unveiled exciting plans. Not only will a gigantic birthday cake be presented to the cricket legend, but the CAB President has also promised to distribute an astounding 70,000 masks featuring Kohli’s face to spectators at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The aim? To have every fan donning a Virat Kohli mask as he steps into the iconic stadium.

“We want every fan at the Eden Gardens wearing Virat Kohli masks as he walks in. We are planning to distribute around 70,000 Kohli masks on his birthday on 5th November,” stated the CAB President, according to reports from Times of India.

This unique initiative is anticipated to electrify Kohli enthusiasts worldwide, especially those who have secured tickets for the much-anticipated India vs South Africa clash scheduled for the same day. The celebrations won’t stop at masks; a dazzling laser show is also on the cards during the match’s interval, adding a touch of spectacle to the occasion.

While the images of the masks are being kept under wraps for now to preserve the surprise, the CAB President shared, “I am not sharing the pictures yet, for let that be a surprise. Also, we plan to host a fireworks show during the mid-innings interval for Virat and the crowd. It will be our way of celebrating his birthday and our way of saying that the entire Kolkata crowd is part of the celebrations. We are sure of a full house, and everyone in the stands is a Virat fan. It is a gesture on behalf of all of them,” highlighting the inclusive spirit of the event.
