India and Bangladesh are currently playing an ODI series, and after two humiliating losses, India is catching up to win at least one of the three games. Ishan Kishan was demanded after Indian captain Rohit Sharma reportedly suffered an injury in the second ODI, forcing the captain to return to Mumbai for additional medical attention. Ishan Kishan took advantage of his chance to play in the third ODI, and he is currently having a strong game. He has already lifted his bat to reach the half-century mark.

Ishan Kishan continued to dominate and scored his maiden ton in the same game. Ishan was also the only Indian opener who could score atleast a half century in this series as the previous duo of Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan, also including Kohli’s cameo in the second ODI, failed to bat for long.

Due to a finger injury, India captain Rohit Sharma will not play in the third One-Day International against Bangladesh. According to recent reports, he is also likely to miss the Test series, which begins on December 14. He might be replaced by Abhimanyu Easwaran, the captain of India A, who is currently in Bangladesh for the “A” Test series. This could be a major setback for the team’s efforts to win the remaining Tests necessary to qualify for the World Test Championship final (2 against Bangladesh and 4 against Australia).
