The news of Delhi Capitals’ decision to sign an Australian top-order batsman, Jake Fraser-McGurk as a replacement for injured South African pacer Lungi Ngidi has left fans and netizens discontent. Many DC fans have taken to social media to express their displeasure and frustration with the IPL 2024 team management. Some of DC fans were left confused by the team selection policy and expressed anger that the team missed the chance to strengthen the bowling department.
After the Delhi Capitals cleared that Ngidi couldn’t play due to a lower-back injury, there was a gap to be sealed in the pace department of the pace unit. The fans, just like everyone else, felt that a pace bowler was going to be signed to do the job. DC’s decision to sign a top-batsman, Fraser-McGurk has ghosted the fans.
