IPL 2021 Auctions: After Dream 11’s contract ended as a title sponsor with the IPL on 31st December 2020. Since then there’s has been no title sponsor for IPL. The Auction is scheduled to take place on 18th February in Chennai.
The scheduled date of the auction is less than three weeks from, there’s a rare chance for BCCI to finalize Title sponsor in such a short period. in that case, the auctions may be held with any title sponsor.
Last year in wake of anti-China sentiment, BCCI decided to terminate IPL title contract worth Rs 440 Crore with Chinese smartphone brand Vivo. After which BCCI released a new tender in order to get a new title sponsor. and eventually, Dream 11 signed a deal to be the title sponsor for one season 2020.
