As there have been reports and the IPL is headed to UAE amid the Lock down measures and unsuitable cricketing atmosphere bringing a relief to the supporters of the teams but this decision and its layout has put the team Franchise into a confusion and doubts regarding the revenue generation and its distribution amongst them, Franchise have not officially heard from BCCI on this matter and its a concern for them.
The IPL Governing body and the BCCI have not yet held a meeting regarding this issue and the Franchise says its already late. Until the Governing Body of IPL and BCCI come on a same page the tournament wont be a smooth sailing, Communication on a hold between both these parties is not a good news for the IPL to commence in any way possible. Franchise had already been in contact with the sponsors earlier in the month of March but a move away to UAE there have to be renegotiation on the current deals.
Television appearance, Prime time consumption and screen time are the part of economical aspects on which the Franchise have to work elbow grease because of the current situation, with the Covid norms to follow the Franchise may have to spend on the medical facility, quarantine rooms and other facility to make sure the players and the staff are safe with the current Pandemic. All being said the Franchise and the BCCI have to come on common grounds to make the IPL a success away from India.
