The suspense over India’s squad for the Asia Cup 2025 will end today as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to unveil the 15-member team. The selection meeting has already begun after BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia arrived at the headquarters.
The press conference, initially scheduled for 1:30 PM, was delayed due to heavy rains in Mumbai that disrupted flights. The BCCI has now confirmed that the announcement will take place at 2:45 PM. Indian T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav and the selection panel were already present before Saikia’s arrival.
According to reports, selectors are weighing options between Shreyas Iyer, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, and Riyan Parag, with one or two expected to make the cut. Shubman Gill’s selection remains the biggest talking point, after his stellar form in the IPL 2025 season. Suryakumar Yadav is widely expected to lead the side.
