Indian Head Coach Rahul Dravid Gives Update On Jasprit Bumrah’s Injury

Jasprit Bumrah moved to NCA for further treatment and confirmation on his playing condition ahead of the T20 World Cup

Jasprit Bumrah who has been doubtfully ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022 because of a serious back injury is a shock to the Indian fans as well as the team. With two big names, Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja out of the big event are a blow to the Indian side.

Indian head coach Rahul Dravid has given the fans some updates on Bumrah’s injury. It’s the same injury that cost Bumrah the Asia Cup and now it’s the T20 World Cup 2022. We will also be missing the ace bowler on the field ahead in the T20 series against South Africa.

“As of now, officially he has been ruled out of the T20 series against South Africa. He has gone to the NCA and we are waiting for an official confirmation on the next steps”, Said Dravid

However, the head coach says they can’t confirm his participation in the T20 World Cup. He acknowledged Bumrah’s importance in the team.

“As of now, officially he is only ruled out of this series, and we will see what happens in the next 2-3 days but once we get an official confirmation, then we will be able to share that,” Dravid added

India will fly to Australia on October 6 and play two warm-up games against the host of the World Cup and New Zealand.
