In a surprise announcement of the India T2O World Cup Squad, the star wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul has been a no show in the squad released by the BCCI today. This comes as a surprise despite KL Rahul’s determination towards the team and the sport for the past few years. However, another wicket-keeper batsman, Sanju Samson has found his place in the squad for the upcoming world cup.
Not surprising to see, Leg spinner Yuzi Chahal has made a comeback after a halt, this comes obviously after Chahal stands among the top wicket takers and contender for the ‘Purple Cap’ in ongoing Tata IPL 2024.
The BCCI has also cleared rumours of Virat Kohli being absent for the T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup this year is scheduled to happen in the month of June and will be hosted by West Indies & USA.
