After some players tested positive for the virus and a lot of discussion going around their replacements, BCCI on Twitter announced that Ishan Kishan and Shahrukh Khan have been added to the Indian squad for tomorrow’s match against West Indies.

With four of the Indian cricketers not able to play as they are isolated due to COVID-19, Ishan and Shahrukh have found their way into the playing 11.
Captain Rohit Sharma confirmed on Saturday that the left-handed batsman, Ishan will open with him in the first match of the ODI series against West Indies.
While KL Rahul will join the team for the second ODI, Shikhar Dhawan, and Ruturaj Gaikwad have isolated themselves as they have tested positive for the COVID-19.
Rohit in a media conference said that Ishan was the only option available with whom he can open the innings as the replacement player, Mayank Agrawal is still in mandatory quarantine.
The first match of India against West Indies in a three-match ODI series will start from tomorrow, February 6, following the second match on February 9 and they will finish the series with their last match on February 11.
All the matches will be played in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Tomorrow’s match is very special as India will be playing its 1000th ODI match and will become the first-ever team to achieve this milestone.
