It was earlier noted that Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out from the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 owing this unfortunate scenario to his knee injury which has been witnessed as a recurring problem for the all-rounder as he missed the previous series against West Indies due to the same reason (in July). Ravindra Jadeja is also unavailable for ICC T20I World Cup, which makes a place for another player while considering the squad who will fly to Australia.

Rishabh Pant, who recently played his first game against Hong Kong was benched when India took on Pakistan for their season openers and as the archrivals are set to make history tomorrow, once again, it will be doubtful to watch Rishabh Pant in the playing XI.

One of the significant reasons for India letting Pant be in the playing XI is only because their primary left-handed batsman is unavailable and Axar Patel who replaced Jadeja, will be less preferred. Rishabh Pant has greater competition than Axar Patel, which is Dinesh Karthik, but as India allowed both the wicket-keepers to play against Hong Kong, Pant can be seen behind the stumps.

Dinesh Karthik has been flexible in fielding but one cannot forget the catches Karthik took against Pakistan.

Tomorrow, on the 4th of September India and Pakistan will once again be ready to take on each other. While India would like to continue their winning momentum, Pakistan will be eyeing a revengeful night at the iconic Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
