In the ongoing 3rd Test match between India and England, after restricting India to 445 runs, England’s openers made a swift start before the Tea interval.
England’s bowlers maintained control with consistent wickets, pushing India into a rebuilding phase for most of the innings.
James Anderson kicked off the bowling attack by dismissing Kuldeep Yadav, followed by Ravindra Jadeja’s dismissal in the next over, giving Joe Root a simple catch. Despite losing early wickets, debutant Dhruv Jurel and R Ashwin steadied India’s innings with a patient partnership, guiding the team past the 400-run mark.
Jurel showed early aggression against Mark Wood, while Ashwin played cautiously. Their partnership of 77 runs boosted India’s total, but Ashwin’s dismissal halted their progress. Jurel followed suit shortly after, leaving India in a precarious position.
Despite the setbacks, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj’s 30-run partnership pushed India close to the 450-run mark before Wood wrapped up the innings with a four-wicket haul.
Brief Scores: India 445 (Rohit Sharma 131, Ravindra Jadeja 112, Sarfaraz Khan 62; Mark Wood 4-114) vs England
