Mehidy Hasan’s continued batting prowess helped Bangladesh win the ODI series 2-0 with a sensational performance with the ball in defence of a total of 271. Hasan finished with his first ODI century. Rohit Sharma’s late cameo, during which he scored an unbeaten 51, was ineffective as Bangladesh maintained their impressive home record. They haven’t suffered an ODI series loss at home since October 2016.
Mehidy and Mahmudullah, who came in at 69/6, put together a seventh-wicket partnership of 148 runs to overcome India and give Bangladesh a chance. Mehdiy continued after Mahmud Ullah was dismissed to reach his first ODI century. The ton by Mehidy is just the second time an ODI player positioned No. 8 or lower has reached that mark. Simi Singh (IRE) scored 100 points against South Africa last year while batting eighth.

Mahmud Ullah and Mehidy’s 148-run seventh-wicket stand in men’s ODIs against India is also the highest wicket total ever.
After having trouble early on due to the top-order struggling, Bangladesh made 271/7 in fifty overs. Only five teams have scored 200 runs or more for the seventh wicket or less in an ODI innings, and the combined 202 runs for the seventh and eighth wicket make this the fifth time
