Along with announcing India’s team for the T20 World Cup 2022, the BCCI also revealed the teams for the T20 International series against Australia and South Africa. With Rohit Sharma as the team’s captain, all three squads are incredibly similar. Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah have rejoined the team. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Bumrah, and Harshal make up India’s four-man pace attack. The team for the Australia T20I series also includes Mohammed Shami, one of the backups in India’s T20 World Cup lineup.

In the T20 World Cup 2022, cricket analysts prefer Rohit and Virat to open the batting for India. While Rohit is the chosen opener for India, Kohli has performed admirably each time he has done so in this format. He recently defeated Afghanistan to record his first century in a T20I. His 71st total international century followed his form when Virat decided to step up and open the innings.

Additionally, according to cricket pundits, Rohit and Kohli are ideally suited to open on Australian surfaces because they can play through the line and the ball comes fast to the bat. In addition, both can get India off to a tremendous start.
