On February 10, the opening match of the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup will take place at Newlands in Cape Town between hosts South Africa and Sri Lanka. On Monday, the whole schedule for the eighth edition of the esteemed competition was released (October 3). Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are in Group A of the two groups made up of the 10 teams. Group B is composed of England, India, the West Indies, Pakistan, and Ireland. Following their successful completion of the T20 World Cup qualifying rounds to join the top eight nations, Bangladesh and Ireland have completed the list of competing teams.
The 23-game tournament will be played in Newlands, Boland Park (Paarl), and St. George’s Park (Gqeberha), with 12 of the games, including the opener, the two semifinals, and the championship game on February 26, taking place there.
