Gambhir identifies Afghanistan as a surprise package from the last World Cup, capable of posing a substantial threat to India, especially in the unique T20 World Cup conditions. Australia, the 50-over World Champions and 2021 T20 World Cup victors, are deemed impactful opponents with the potential to challenge India, as per Gambhir.

The T20 World Cup 2024, marking the 9th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, is poised to host 20 participating teams. These teams will be divided into five groups, with two teams advancing from each group to the Super 8 round. In the subsequent Super 8 stage, teams will be further categorized into two groups, with two teams from each group progressing to the semifinals. The tournament is a historic moment as it will be the first ICC event held in the United States.
