In a high-stakes auction, the DC franchise secured Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland, making a noteworthy investment of INR 2 crore. The bidding war, particularly intense with Mumbai Indians (MI), concluded in Delhi Capitals’ favor after MI gracefully exited the contest.
Left with a modest sum of 25 lakhs in the purse, the franchise strategically acquired two uncapped players, Aparna Mondal (10 Lakh) and Ashwani Kumari (10 Lakh), effectively completing their squad composition.
Aparna Mondal, previously part of Delhi Capitals in WPL 2023, rejoins the squad after being released ahead of the auction.
