The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to release the media rights tender for bilateral cricket games in India within the next 24 hours or by Tuesday (July 25).

The tender will be conducted by BCCI’s consultants, Ernst & Young, and the sale is expected to be completed by August 19, covering a five-year period from 2023 to 2027. The number of matches and their format breakdown, including Tests, ODIs, and T20Is, is yet to be finalized.

However, it is likely to be around 100 matches, similar to the previous cycle. The sale is anticipated to follow the recent trend in world cricket, with fewer ODIs and more Twenty20 Internationals.

Bidders will not have the option for a consolidated package bid, and the BCCI aims to give the new buyer ample time to market the first series in the cycle, a three-match ODI series against Australia in September.
