The introduction of this additional league could impact the landscape of bilateral cricket in the next two years. While major series like the Ashes and India versus England, Australia, and South Africa would remain, other bilateral cricket may give way to growing franchise leagues.
If launched, the Tier-2 league aims to provide more opportunities for young Indian players and contribute to the domestic growth of cricket.
