Assistant coaches from the England men’s team have secured roles in The Hundred, the upcoming tournament taking place between the Ashes and the white-ball team’s run-up to the World Cup.

Richard Dawson and Carl Hopkinson will join Welsh Fire and Northern Superchargers, respectively, while Paul Collingwood will work with London Spirit. The England white-ball team’s coaching staff has had limited work during the home summer, prompting Matthew Mott to encourage his assistants to apply for positions in The Hundred.

Mott believes their involvement will provide valuable insights and serve as an opportunity to scout international players. While Mott himself had to withdraw from coaching due to travel restrictions, he expressed interest in working in franchise cricket, particularly the IPL, in the future. However, he emphasized that he is not in a rush and will prioritize schedule alignment.
