The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on August 22 that the 22-year-old right-arm bowler Mohammad Hasnain has been selected to take Shaheen Shah Afridi’s spot as the frontline pacer for the Pakistan Team for the forthcoming Asia Cup 2022.

Mohammad Hasnain, who was recently suspended for using an illegal bowling motion, has so far appeared in 8 ODIs and 18 T20 International matches for team Pakistan. As far 12 ODI and 17 T20I wickets have been taken by him.

“Mohammad Hasnain will replace Shaheen Shah Afridi in the Pakistan squad for the ACC T20 Asia Cup,” the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in an official media release on Monday.

“Hasnain will join the side from the United Kingdom, where he is representing Oval Invincibles in The Hundred competition,” PCB further wrote.
