According to a company official, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited will announce the beginning of 5G services in Rajasthan on Saturday from the well-known Shrinathji temple in the Nathdwara town of Rajsamand.
The services will be dedicated to Srinathji, the god of the Ambani family, by company chairman Akash Ambani.
A later date will be chosen for the commercial launch.
“The launch of 5G services will transform the lives of people in Rajasthan. It will make them technology savvy at par with global citizens,” the official added.
“We welcome the launch of 5G services. It’s 5G for Sriji,” said Vishal Baba, mahant of the Nathdwara temple.
Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, visited the temple last month and made a commitment to start services in the state from there.
Mukesh Ambani also visited the Shrinathji Temple in 2015 before the introduction of 4G services.
