
While all eyes have been set on Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio as of late with their new upcoming 5G services which are currently going through several rounds of research, development, and testing, Vi has emerged as the fastest Internet Service Provider in the country.
Internet speed-testing platform Ookla said tests show that Telecommunication company Vodafone Idea (Vi) has the fastest 4G download and upload speeds compared to its India rivals Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio).
Confirming these results, Vodafone Idea said that GIGAnet from Vi has been verified as the fastest 4G network for average download speeds in 16 Indian states including Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Delhi, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Nagaland, Jharkhand, Sikkim, and Assam.
Vi has also won the race for for average download speeds in 142 cities.
Ravinder Takkar, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Vodafone Idea said, “Such external validation for our voice and data services, is a strong testimony of our efforts to strengthen network experience for our customers, who are now more reliant on telecom connectivity for their work, education and all other aspects of life.”
