Airtel launches IPTV services across 2,000 cities in India with bundled streaming and TV channels

Bharti Airtel has launched its much-anticipated IPTV services across 2,000 cities in India, marking a major step in its connected home strategy. The new service combines traditional TV viewing with access to a wide range of 29 streaming platforms, including Netflix, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, and 350+ television channels.

The IPTV plans start at ₹699 per month and come bundled with high-speed Wi-Fi, offering speeds up to 1 Gbps in premium packages. Airtel has also introduced an introductory offer of up to 30 days of free service, which can be availed via the Airtel Thanks App.

Commenting on the launch, Siddharth Sharma, CEO – Connected Homes and Chief Marketing Officer at Airtel, said, “This marks a new era in home entertainment where linear TV merges with streaming apps to deliver an immersive digital experience.”

The service is currently available nationwide, with the exception of Delhi, Rajasthan, Assam, and the Northeastern states, where it will roll out in the coming weeks. Existing Airtel Wi-Fi customers can upgrade to IPTV plans through the Airtel Thanks App or by visiting an Airtel store.

With this move, Airtel aims to enhance its position in the growing home entertainment market, offering a unified solution for TV and OTT consumption.
