Snowman Logistics and SpiceJet have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the storage, transportation, and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.
“Snowman will handle ground services which include activities such as transportation to/from manufacturers, warehouses, airports and consumption points, packing, storage and warehousing, in the required temperature zones, ” the company said in a BSE filing. SpiceJet will provide the air connectivity for temperature-controlled distribution of the vaccines across the country and internationally, Snowman said in a statement.
Dr VK Paul, the head of the National Expert Group on COVID-19 vaccination, on December 9 said the government plans to inoculate at least 300 million people by August 2021.
Meanwhile, Adani Logistics on Wednesday sold 8,85,043 shares (0.53% stake) of Snowman Logistics at an average price of Rs 58.17 each via a bulk deal on the NSE. Adani Logistics held 4.34 crore shares or 26% stake in Snowman Logistics as of 30 September 2020.
Snowman Logistics is engaged in the business of temperature-controlled logistics including transportation by road, and distribution of products requiring a temperature-controlled environment.
