
The government of India had made new guidelines for COVID-19 vaccination available to the public, earlier this month. Those will get their vaccination certificates linked to passports who are planning to go abroad for education, jobs, or as part of the Indian contingent for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
One can also edit the details on CoWIN if there is a mismatch of details between the vaccine certificate and passport.
In case name on certificate does not match name on passport, you can request for name correction as well

It was tweeted by the official Aarogya Setu app about how the users can update their passport number in their vaccination certificate.
The tweet further added that if name on certificate does not match name on passport, one can also request for name correction. They asked people not to make mistakes in entering the details as entering passport number and requesting name change can be done only once.
-Visit the official portal of CoWin — www. cowin.gov.in.
-Click on the ‘Raise an issue’ option.
-A drop down menu will appear, select the ‘passport’ option and choose the person, whose certificate you want to link.
-Enter your passport number and submit the details.

-Visit the official portal of CoWin — www. cowin.gov.in.
-Click on the ‘Raise an issue’ option.
-A drop down menu will appear, select the ‘Correction in certificate’ option and choose the person, whose details you want to change.
-Select the options wherein you want to make corrections and edit the details.
-Last step, submit.
