Hathras Gangrape Case: The family of the Hathras Gangrape victim has been refused to undergo the COVID-19 test. One of the family members is having COVID-19 like symptoms. Thus a team of doctors with medical staff visited the victim’s family to conduct the COVID-19 test but they were denied as the team didn’t allow to conduct the test.
However, the alleged gangrape case attracted the attention of the whole country, and there has been a big crowd of media channel reporters and political workers. Big political leaders such as Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have also visited the village and had a conversation with the family. Hundreds of policemen are there in the village to ensure the safety of the family. However, many of the media channel reporters have been tested positive for coronavirus, thus, the danger of COVID-19 infection is high in the village.
In consideration of the current and past events and the symptoms reported, it is important to conduct a COVID-19 test, and thus UP government sent a team of doctors to take samples but, the family has been denied to undergo any COVID-19 test.
However, the UP government has requested the CBI to investigate the case but, the victim’s family denied the CBI inquiry and said the investigation should be conducted through the retired judges of the supreme court.
