
On Tuesday, April 6, Delhi Government announced imposition of night curfew with immediate effect until April 30. “Night curfew imposed in Delhi from 10 pm to 5 am with immediate effect till 30th April, in the wake of Covid-19 situation,” reports ANI.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister has urged PM Modi for relaxation in conditions for opening a new vaccination centres as well as relaxation in the age limit for vaccination and making it available for all. He also added that if the conditions for opening new vaccination centres are relaxed and vaccination is opened for all, then Delhi Government will be able to vaccinate all citizens of Delhi within 3 months.
On April 5, Delhi recorded 3,548 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, while 15 people died due to the coronavirus infection, taking the death toll to 11,096.
Yesterday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain also talked about current preparation done by Delhi government to tackle the increase of Covid-19 patients in the city, he said, “Random testing is being done at a fast pace in Delhi. We are doing more than 80,000 tests daily. There were 86,899 tests done yesterday. We are doing 5 times more tests in Delhi than that of the national average. Micro-containment zones will be designated in areas with more than 2 cases,” as quoted by ANI.
