Covishield probably will launch this year. Vaccine against Covid -19 by 2021

Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute Of India has announced that vaccine against Covid -19, by 2021 and  Covishield  is likely to come in market by the end of 2020.

The company is seeking  for the approval of third phase trial and if all goes well the company will launch it vaccine by end of 2021.

The company is manufacturing 20 crore — 200 million — doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine.  One is — Codagenix vaccine which is in pre-clinical trials and they have worldwide rights for it. The second one is — Novavax . These two vaccines are too month or two behind Oxford – Astra Zeneca Coronavirus vaccines. Astra Zeneca vaccine will be branded as Covishield.
