
On Wednesday, April 14, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took his Twitter handle to share the information about him being infected with COVID-19.
Yogi Adityanath tweeted– “On getting the initial symptoms, I got Covid-19 test done and my report came back positive. I am in self isolation and fully following the consultation of physicians. I am editing all tasks virtually.”
He further tweeted– “All activities of the state government are being conducted normally. Meanwhile, all those who have come in contact with me must do their investigation and take precaution.”

On Monday, April 5, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Lucknow and he appealed to all those eligible to get inoculated. Nurse Rashmi Jeet Singh administered Bharat Biotech’s COVAXIN to the Chief Minister at the hospital.
The Uttar Pradesh government has already announced restrictions on gatherings of five or more people in religious places for effective control of the Covid-19 pandemic during Navratri and Ramadan.
In last 24 hours, Uttar Pradesh reported the highest-ever single-day spike of 18,021 coronavirus cases and 85 deaths.With this, the total state’s infection tally stands at 7,23,582 and the death toll at 9,309.
