Today, on the Occasion of 74th Independence day Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the majestic Red Fort. This was his 2nd Independence day speech after he won second term. There at the Red Fort, strict social distancing and safety measures were taken as the celebrations took place in the midst of Coronavirus pandemic.
Taking case of the situation, the general public have not been invited to the event. Instead, 1500 corona warriors, including 500 police personnel who have recovered from the infection, were called to attend the function in a symbol of the citizens’ determination to fight the pandemic and emerge winners.
Addressing the nation, Prime Minister spoke on several accomplishment and some of the major challenges that country is facing meanwhile including healthcare and COVID-19.
Scientists are working hard to get Coronavirus vaccine. Three Indian vaccines are are at different stages and once get the final clearances, the distribution strategy will be announced, he remarked.
My fellow Indians, my best wishes to you all on Independence day. “We are passing through strange times and therefore on the behalf of entire nation , I want to thank the efforts of all Corona warriors. I want to thank all those healthcare workers, doctors and nurses, who have worked tirelessly to serve the nation. Many have even lost their lives. The nation salutes them. The day of freedom and Independence is a day we remember the sacrifice of all freedom fighters”.
Denoting healthcare sector, he launched a National Digital Health Mission. This scheme will bring a new revolution in the health sector. As Coronavirus pandemic has predicted how the future will look like, It will be entirely based on technology. Under this every Indian’s data will be available to the government and people will get a health card showing all the details related to their health. Everytime people visit a doctor or pharmacy, everything will be logged in this health card in their profile on a national scale.
One health ID will have the information of every test, every disease, which medicines was prescribed to patient by which doctor, what the reports were.
