PSU oil marketing giants, including Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), have recently implemented a downward revision in the retail prices of 19-kilogram LPG refills, specifically intended for commercial use, effective from June 1. However, the rates for 14.2-kilogram cylinders, designated for domestic consumption, remain unchanged.
The reduction in commercial LPG rates spans across the four major metropolitan cities of New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata, where prices have been lowered by Rs 69.5-72 per cylinder.
Here are the updated prices for commercial and non-subsidized domestic LPG cylinders as of June 1:
Commercial LPG Rate per Cylinder
– New Delhi: Rs 1,676 per unit
– Kolkata: Rs 1,787 per unit
– Mumbai: Rs 1,629 per unit
– Chennai: Rs 1,840.5 per unit
Non-subsidized Domestic LPG Rate per Cylinder
– New Delhi: Rs 803 per unit
– Kolkata: Rs 829 per unit
– Mumbai: Rs 802.5 per unit
– Chennai: Rs 818.5 per unit
It’s noteworthy that the government provides subsidies on LPG refills per household annually, after which consumers are required to procure cooking gas at non-subsidized rates.
