The counselling for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 is deferred until further notice. Earlier, the seat counselling for NEET UG all-India quota (AIQ) was scheduled to start on July 6.
It was previously informed to the Supreme Court by the National Testing Agency (NTA) that the counselling would began on July 6, however, no details such as schedule for NEET UG Counselling was shared by the MCC.
The NTA, which conducts the examination for admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other related courses, and the Union Education Ministry have been at the centre of media debates and protests by students and political parties over alleged large scale malpractices ranging from question paper leak to impersonification in the test held on May 5.
The results were scheduled to be announced on June 14, however, since the paper checking was completed sooner than expected, it was declared on June 4.
