Indian and Chinese, senior military personnel started talks on disengagement along LAC (Line of Actual) Control on 2nd August.
The first round of talks were held on the senior military Commander level and were held in Moldo, on the Chinese side of the LAC.
As of today, both the countries are on the negotiation table and the talks are being held by Major-Generals on both sides after five rounds of talk on the commander level. The talks are being held in Daulat Beg Oldi which is an airbase in Ladakh, India.
The main agenda of the talks is to address the situation in the Depsang plains, which has seen the mobilization of around 15000 Chinese troops and heavy artillery.
The tensions along the LAC have been running high since India reported multiple instances of Chinese intrusion along the LAC.
