Following the fresh clashes at Pangong in Ladakh near Line of Actual Control on the intervening night of August 29-30 a brigade commander flag-level meeting is in progress at Chushul, Ladakh to resolve the matter, Indian Army said in a statement.
Earlier today it was reported that Chinese troops tried to violate the consensus by engaging in ‘provocative military movements’ along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on August 29 and 30. Indian troops successfully managed to thwart the attempt by China to change the status quo and called for the commander meeting in Chushul, Ladakh to look into the issue.
