Silver price in Kolkata today: Silver prices in Kolkata surged to record levels on Monday, January 19, in line with the historic rally seen across domestic bullion markets. The precious metal decisively crossed the Rs 3 lakh per kilogram mark, reflecting exceptionally strong momentum in recent weeks.
As per the latest city-wise rates, silver in Kolkata is priced at Rs 3,050 per 10 grams today. The price of 100 grams of silver stands at Rs 30,500, while 1 kilogram of silver is trading at Rs 3,05,000 in the city.
The sharp rise comes after silver had crossed the Rs 2 lakh per kg milestone in December for the first time. Since then, prices have climbed by nearly Rs 1 lakh per kg within about a month, marking one of the fastest rallies witnessed in the metal.
Silver prices in Kolkata are tracking the broader strength seen on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), where silver futures have also hit lifetime highs. Strong industrial demand, heightened safe-haven buying amid global uncertainty, and sustained investor participation have continued to support prices.
