Silver prices in India continued to drop for the second consecutive day on Friday, losing Rs 4,000 per kilogram to settle at Rs 1,85,000/kg, down from Rs 1,89,000/kg on Thursday. The price per gram also fell by Rs 4 to Rs 185/g.

The correction follows a strong rally earlier this week, during which silver had surged from Rs 1.60 lakh/kg on October 8 to a peak of Rs 1.90 lakh/kg on October 15, marking a gain of Rs 30,000 in just a week.

City-wise silver prices (per kg)

  • Chennai / Hyderabad / Kerala: Rs 2,03,000
  • Bengaluru: Rs 1,93,900
  • Kolkata: Rs 1,88,900
  • Delhi / Mumbai / Pune / Ahmedabad: Rs 1,85,000

Despite the pullback, experts believe the broader trend for silver remains volatile, with potential for short-term recovery driven by festive demand and industrial usage.
