In Mumbai, the commercial hub, the price for 24 karat gold stands at Rs. 7,391.2 per 10 grams amid firm bullion demand.

The IT capital Bengaluru and the eastern metropolis Kolkata are seeing rates of Rs. 7,391.9 per 10 grams for 24K purity.

The northern city of Lucknow is witnessing the highest rate at Rs. 7,392.8 per 10 grams for 24K gold among the major centres, according to the latest data from bullion associations.

Gold buyers in the southern city of Chennai get a relatively better deal at Rs. 7,391.7 per 10 grams for 24 karat gold.

The latest spike in domestic prices has been triggered by a rally in global bullion markets, where safe-haven demand for the precious metal has surged amid renewed economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions.
