MCX commodities are trading largely in the green during the latest session, with precious metals leading the gains.
Silver (MCX) surged 3.62% to Rs 2,37,063, gaining Rs 8,280. The sharp move comes amid strong buying interest in precious metals.
Gold (MCX) rose 1.22% to Rs 1,53,271, up Rs 1,853, tracking firm global cues.
Among base metals, Copper advanced 1.36% to Rs 1,166.55, while Zinc gained 0.75% to Rs 321.50.
In the energy pack, Crude oil moved higher by 0.48% to Rs 5,669.
However, Natural gas slipped 0.36% to Rs 274.5, remaining the only major commodity in the red.
Overall, precious metals are outperforming base metals and energy in today’s trade, with silver showing the strongest momentum.
