Commodity markets on MCX are witnessing mixed trade today, with precious metals and base metals trading higher, while natural gas remains under pressure.

Precious metals

Silver is leading the gains, trading at Rs 2,66,701, up Rs 5,957 or 2.28%. The sharp move indicates strong buying interest in the metal.

Gold is also in the green at Rs 1,60,636, gaining Rs 667 or 0.42% in today’s session.

Base metals

Copper is trading at Rs 1,201.70, up Rs 2.60 or 0.22%, reflecting steady demand.

Zinc is at Rs 329.35, rising Rs 1.05 or 0.32%.

Energy

Crude oil is marginally higher at Rs 6,022, up Rs 14 or 0.23%.

Natural gas, however, is under selling pressure, trading at Rs 259.3, down Rs 9.0 or 3.35%.

Overall, the MCX dashboard shows strength in metals, particularly silver, while natural gas remains the key laggard in today’s trade.
